BEACON'S FIRST CAPITAL CAMPAIGN PROJECT
As Beacon Charter Schools enters its milestone twentieth year, we are excited to be embarking on our first-ever capital campaign to bring to life the Beacon Charter Center for the Arts (BCCA).
The former First United Methodist Church, purchased by Beacon in 2019, will house a 250-plus seat theatre upstairs as well as a state-of-the art culinary hub and gallery space on the lower level. The facility will be fully utilized by our student artists during the school day, while providing valuable community resources at all other times.
We've received a leadership grant from the Rhode Island State Council for the Arts as well as generous donations from the Felicia Fund and the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation. A recent award from the US Economic Development Administration will help us determine the most effective use of the culinary hub.
What we need now is... YOU! Help us make this dream a reality with a gift of any size.
The Dream that is the
Beacon Charter Center for the Arts
The Future of Arts @ Beacon
Arts are at the core of our schools. The Beacon Charter Center for the Arts will serve as the heart of our most essential programs as well as a public space for theatre, culinary and visual arts.
