VERY IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!!

July 2010

Critical announcement to parents of students who take city school buses to Beacon. You must now register on your own through the RIDE website. Please click here to read this important message from Mrs. Go.

Welcome to Beaconart.org!

2009/2010 is Beacon's seventh year in operation. Can you believe it?

The school's momentum continues and now we have a record number of students with full enrollment at 227! Our new 4th floor film studio completes the building project at 320 Main Street and gives our groundbreaking Capstone Program the quality space it deserves. After all, it is a "Premiere" program!

08/09 was a great year as the school's charter was renewed by RIDE, our PBGR system was Regents approved, and in both 2008 and 2009 US News and World Report listed us as one of the best high schools in the USA!

In 2009/2010 all the full time teachers from 08/09 are returning this year and we've added five new faculty and staff.

Our students continue to apply to and gain acceptance to top colleges and universities. To see a complete list please click here.

Even though enrollment is at an all time high, we're still taking applications. The applications for enrollment are available in the Apply section of this site. Links to all teacher e-mail addresses are available in the Faculty Contact section in order for parents to achieve easier communication with their child's teachers.
